We are pleased to announce the premier chess tournament of Congregation Anshei Shalom, hosted by our very own Ariel Cohen! This tournament is open to players of all skill levels, from novice to pro. There will also be a children's tournament with prizes! Regulars of the Cohen Chess Tournament know this is going to be a lot of fun, and we encourage everyone to come and enjoy a fun family event at the shul!

The score sheet, rule book, and tournament format documents have been updated with some minor changes to account for some tournaments with fewer than eight players. The next chess tournament is scheduled for Saturday, January 10th, 2009 at 7:00 PM. The format will be very similar to the first tournament due to overwhelmingly positive feedback. Contact Ariel if you will be attending.
